What data we process
Only what you give us, plus what the visit generates technically:
- From the quote form: email, pick-up and drop-off locations, dates, number of travellers, driver age, country of residence, language and any free-text notes you write.
- If you email or call us: the identification and contact details you include in your message (email, phone, name).
- Technical request data: IP address, browser (user-agent), referring page and timestamp, logged to prevent form abuse and to evidence the submission.
- Site measurement: aggregated navigation data through Google Analytics 4, described in the cookie policy.
We neither ask for nor need special categories of data (health, beliefs, etc.). Please do not send them through the form.
Purposes and legal basis
- Preparing your quote and replying to you — pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Arranging the trip you book with the necessary operators and insurers — performance of the contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Complying with legal obligations on invoicing, tax and travel-trade regulation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Form security (abuse control, per-IP submission limits) — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Sending you news or marketing — only if you expressly ask for it; consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), withdrawable at any time.
Who else sees your data
We share it only with those needed to deliver the service: the rental operator you choose (for example THL, Cruise America, El Monte, CanaDream or Britz Africa), travel insurers, the transfer or excursion suppliers you book, and public authorities where the law requires it.
Processors involved on the technical side:
- Vercel Inc. — hosting of the site and the form, and server logs.
- Resend — delivery of the notification and acknowledgement emails.
- Google Ireland Ltd. — aggregated site measurement with Google Analytics 4.
All of them process the data on behalf of Viajes Scibasku under a data processing agreement.
International transfers
Some of these providers and the rental operators are outside the European Economic Area (United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa). Where that happens, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or, for your booking, on article 49.1.b GDPR: it is necessary to perform the travel contract you asked for.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: while the commercial conversation is alive and then until you ask us to delete it.
- Customers with a booked trip: for the duration of the relationship and then for the statutory tax, accounting and travel-trade retention periods.
- Technical form logs (IP, user-agent): as long as needed for abuse control.
Your rights
You may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability rights, and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@viajesscibasku.com or to the address above, proving your identity. If you believe your request was not handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
